Olympos |
Olympos is located 80 km. south of Antalya (40 km. from Kemer) and is one of the first places in the ancient Lyciske kingdom.
With the beach in the East is Olympos divided in two by the river Akcay.
Olympus has a different structure than other ancient city which has survived. It is suggestive that the word comes from the Greek Olympos.
But while the source and meaning of this name has not been finally explained, it is likely that in the ancient Anatolian language it means "high mountain" or "big mountain" (Tahtali) |
The place Olympos is huge and worth a visit. Down by the sea is a beautiful sandy beach, and here they are on the boat trip from Kemer stops.
